The Municipality of Albisola Superiore boasts a hiking network of more than 65 kilometers, divided into a dozen trails, suitable for everyone, ideal for trekking and biking, to discover in every season of the year a hinterland in which to immerse oneself in a beneficial contact with nature. Some of these routes, different in length and elevation gain, start from Ellera combining sport, outdoor and wellness with the historical, artistic and cultural heritage of the area.
The Ellera-Bric Beia-Ellera loop trail (10 kilometers, elevation gain 500 meters) starts from Cairoli Square and continues through the quaint village, touching on the Striea locality, until it reaches Bric Beia, a vantage point overlooking the sea of Albisola and the overhanging wind turbines. The trail descends to Bric della Brigna and, along chestnut woods, cultivated fields and panoramic views, returns to the center of Ellera.

Those who enjoy longer routes can take the Ellera-Le Cercie-Crovaro-Ellera loop (17 kilometers, elevation gain 850 meters), which leads to the locality of Le Cercie, until it joins the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri. Traversing the entire area of the wind turbines up to Mount San Giorgio, the route descends to the road from Naso di Gatto to Savona and from there, along the slopes of Mount Negino and on the ridge of Mount Castellazzo, it reaches the Madonnina del Crovaro pass and returns to the starting point.
For younger children and those who feel like taking a short walk, Ellera also offers a loop trail of about two kilometers that leads to the Church of Santa Maria Maddalena, alongside crops, rural buildings, and stretches of forest with Mediterranean essences.
Another proposal of the Albisola trail network is the Luceto-Canavisse-Ellera trail of about 7 kilometers, which connects Ellera to Luceto and allows to discover, with a detour, the hamlet of Magrania, a small village in which the houses, built on several levels, border each other creating a splendid set of colors.
