In the home of ceramics, that is, in the two Albisoles, why not create a ceramic nativity scene to be placed at the bottom of the sea? The idea came to a young local ceramist, who immediately involved the most active artists in the area and local tourism operators. An underwater nativity scene represents, in fact, the fusion of ceramic tradition with the main form of tourism in the area: two indispensable elements for the Albisole that meet in a striking, original and unique way.

A deep Emotion!!! Albisola Turismo

As of December 2019, the Nativity of the Abyss is a reality: three full-size statues made of ceramics, representing the Nativity, have been placed in the sea in front of the municipalities of Albisola Superiore and Albissola Marina, 200 meters from the shore and positioned at a depth of about 7 meters. The artists who made the Nativity possible are: Laura Romano (Virgin Mary), Ylli Plaka and Ivan Cuvato (St. Joseph) and Damiano Rossello (Baby Jesus).
