One and a half kilometer [one mile] of coastline, lying on the Ligurian Sea in one of its cleanest and most beautiful stretches, so much so that it has been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag by FFE (Foundation for Environmental Education). Albisola Superiore is this, and much more.
Located along the Western Ligurian Riviera, the town is characterized by ample beaches, sandy in some areas, mixed in others, where sand blends with small rounded pebbles, typical of the Ligurian coast. Behind it, the abandoned route of the old railway has been repurposed to create a promenade, dedicated to poet Eugenio Montale: an actual open-air art gallery overlooking the beach resorts and the kiosks that animate the summer season in Albisola.
